Trump Urges EU to Impose 100 Percent Tariffs on China, India: Source; Senate Advances Trump’s Fed Governor Nominee

President Donald Trump urged EU officials on Tuesday to hit China with tariffs of up to 100 percent as part of a strategy to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin, a source familiar with the matter told The Epoch Times.

Stephen Miran, a top White House economic adviser, cleared a Senate hurdle on Wednesday that moves him closer to becoming a Federal Reserve governor. Members of the Senate Banking Committee voted 13–11 in a party-line vote to send Miran's nomination to the full Senate for consideration.
