NYC to Pay BLM Protesters for Arrest Tactics; House Passes Act to Rein in Executive Orders
New York City is paying hundreds of Black Lives Matter protesters over $20,000 each to settle a lawsuit over crowd control tactics used during the George Floyd protests.
The House on Mar. 1 passed the REIN IN Inflation Act, which requires the president to publish the inflationary impact of executive actions exceeding $1 billion before enacting them. The legislation was passed with the support of 59 Democrats.
The Senate is moving to have government intelligence related to the origins of COVID-19 declassified. A bill introduced by Republican Sens. Josh Hawley and Mike Braun was passed with unanimous consent on Mar. 1.
