Los Angeles Police Order Protesters to Go Home; US and China Holding Trade Talks in London

Police declared all of downtown Los Angeles to be an unlawful assembly area and ordered protesters to go home on Sunday night after a third day of violence hit protests against President Donald Trump's immigration policies. Authorities in Los Angeles said some protesters had thrown concrete projectiles, bottles, and other items at police.

High-level delegations from the United States and China are meeting in London on Monday in a renewed effort to break the deadlock after last month’s Geneva talks failed to produce meaningful results. A delegation led by the Chinese regime's vice premier, He Lifeng, is due to meet U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer at an undisclosed location in the city. The talks are due to last at least a day.
