Trump to Sign Executive Order on Auto Tariffs; Carney’s Liberals Win Canadian Election

President Donald Trump will sign an executive order on auto tariffs on Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said at a news briefing. "President Trump is building an important partnership with both the domestic automakers and our great American workers," Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said in a statement provided by the White House.

The Liberals won Canada’s general election on Monday and will form a government for the fourth consecutive term, with Mark Carney remaining as prime minister. Preliminary election results also showed Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre and NDP leader Jagmeet Singh losing their seats. Poilievre said he'll stay on as party leader, while Singh said he would step down.
