Trump Says Hamas Didn’t Want to Make a Deal; 'Alligator Alcatraz' Deportation Flights Begun
U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said Hamas did not want to make a deal on a ceasefire and hostage release in Gaza. The comments come as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel was now considering "alternative" options to achieve its goals of bringing its hostages home from Gaza and ending the rule of Hamas in the territory. Trump said he believed Hamas leaders would now be "hunted down."
The federal government is starting deportation flights from a detention facility in Florida, known as alligator Alcatraz. Governor Ron Desantis commented on the operation, while speaking in the Florida everglades Friday morning.
