Trump Says Call With Zelenskyy Was ‘Very Good’; Fed to Make Interest Rate Decision
President Donald Trump said he discussed Russian and Ukrainian requests and needs for a peace deal in an hour-long call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. "Much of the discussion was based on the call made yesterday with President Putin in order to align both Russia and Ukraine in terms of their requests and needs," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
The Federal Reserve is expected to hold interest rates steady on Wednesday. A new policy statement and projections will be released at 2 p.m. ET at the end of a two-day meeting focused on how the economic outlook has shifted since President Donald Trump's Jan. 20 inauguration. Fed Chair Jerome Powell is scheduled to hold a press conference immediately after the announcement.
