Trump Issues Ultimatum to Haley Donors; Biden Vetoes Bill Protecting U.S. EV industry from China

Former President Donald Trump has issued an ultimatum to donors who are still backing his GOP primary opponent, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. Writing on Truth Social, he said that such donors will be “permanently barred from the MAGA camp” if they continue to support his rival.

President Joe Biden has won his fight against House Republicans over taxpayer-funded electric vehicle charging stations. He vetoed a bipartisan bill that would place strict “made-in-America” requirements on charging stations built with federal money. GOP lawmakers say Biden’s decision benefits Chinese manufacturers and empowers China to control American energy infrastructure.

Ukraine is calling for an international investigation into the Russian military plane crash that Moscow says killed 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war. The Kremlin has accused Ukraine of shooting it down, and Russian officials are now saying they warned Kyiv that the airplane was approaching. Ukrainian intelligence has denied those reports, however, and said it can’t confirm Moscow’s allegations.
