Mayor Adams Says NYC Gunman Targeted NFL Headquarters; Trump Wraps Up Scotland Trip

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said on Tuesday that the gunman who killed four people at a Manhattan office building before taking his own life was trying to target the headquarters of the National Football League, but took the wrong elevator. Officials identified the alleged shooter as Shane Tamura, a 27-year-old with an address in Nevada. The suspect allegedly carried a note with him that appeared to blame the NFL for a degenerative brain disease he claimed to have had. Las Vegas law enforcement told New York authorities that Tamura had a documented history of mental health issues.

President Donald Trump wrapped up his five-day visit to Scotland with the opening of a new golf course at one of his sprawling properties there. Trump said he will focus on addressing crises in the Middle East and elsewhere after he arrives back in Washington.
