Jordan May Cancel 3rd Speakership Vote; Sidney Powell Pleads Guilty in Georgia RICO Case

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) has reportedly canceled his plans for the House to vote on his speakership for the 3rd time on Thursday. Several media outlets have reported that instead, he is backing giving temporary speaker Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) more power until January.

Former President Donald Trump's lawyer at the time of the 2020 presidential election, Sidney Powell, has pleaded guilty in the Georgia election case. Fulton County prosecutors are recommending she get six years probation.

A long-time State Department official resigned his post over White House policy on the Israel–Hamas conflict. He said the policy would cause "deeper suffering" for the people of Israel and Palestine.
