Hamas Releases 1st Group of Hostages; China's Rising Pneumonia Outbreak Sparks WHO Concern

The first group of hostages taken by Hamas has been released as the fighting came to a temporary halt this morning. The released hostages include 13 Israelis, 10 people from Thailand, and one Filipino citizen, according to Qatari and other officials.

A widespread outbreak of 'undiagnosed pneumonia' cases is sweeping China, and it's mainly affecting children. The situation has triggered concern at the WHO.

Police arrested over 30 people after they rampaged through Dublin, Ireland Thursday night. The violent protests came in response to the stabbing of a number of young schoolchildren.
