George Santos Expelled from Congress; Judges Rule Trump Can Face J6 Civil Lawsuits

The House voted to expel Rep. George Santos on Friday morning. The New York Republican is facing 23 federal charges, including financial fraud and making false statements. He’s the first representative un U.S. history to be expelled without a conviction.

A court has ruled that former President Donald Trump can be charged in civil lawsuits over the Jan. 6 Capitol breach. A three-judge panel in Washington ruled that he’s not immune from such charges.

Fighting between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization resumed on Friday following a week-long cease-fire. Over 130 hostages remain in captivity in Gaza.
