DA Fani Willis Countersued in Trump Georgia Case; European Union Approves $54B Aid Package For Ukraine

A lawyer for one of former President Donald Trump’s co-defendants in the Georgia election interference case—which Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is prosecuting—is countersuing the district attorney. She's accused of failing to produce documents to the defense and “intentionally withholding information” in violation of state law. Ms. Willis has been subpoenaed to testify at an upcoming hearing on Feb. 15.

Newly released filings with the Federal Election Commission show that President Trump’s political action committees spent approximately $29 million on legal expenses in the second half of last year.

European Union leaders have unanimously agreed to extend $54 billion in new aid to Ukraine, overcoming weeks of resistance from Hungary and garnering praise from Kyiv.
